Zephaniah Grimshaw is probably one of the children of William and Elizabeth (Zephaniah) Grimshaw. He was perhaps one of the most prolific Grimshaws – he left descendants from at least three (and possibly more) women – Jerusha Hunter, Asentha Noakes, and Adaline Covey.

Barbara Bonner conjectures (but has not yet proven) that William, the oldest child of Zepheniah and Jerusha Hunter, is the William that is the progenitor of the Wolfe Island line described on a companion webpage. She also believes that George, of the George and Charlotte (Menard) Grimshaw line is Zepheniah's brother and William's uncle.
