Ruth Ann Edney has provided excellent genealogical information on Jeremiah and Pheby (Grimshaw) Hustler. Pheby is a descendant in the Edward and Dorothy (Raner) Grimshaw ("Yorkshire Grimshaw") family line. Jeremiah and Pheby's grandson, John Hustler, married Mary Thomasson in England, and the couple emigrated to America, where they left many descendants. 

Two of John Hustler's younger brothers, Benjamin and William, married two Grimshaw sisters, Sarah and Ruth, whose grandfather (John Grimshaw, married Sarah Cooper) was Pheby Grimshaw's older brother. Thus the Grimshaw grandparents of the two Hustler-Grimshaw couples (Benjamin/Sarah and William/Ruth) were siblings. According to Ruth Ann, such intermarriage among Quaker families was apparently quite common because of the small size of the Quaker communities.

As noted above, Pheby Grimshaw was descended from the "Yorkshire" Grimshaw line - that of Edward and Dorothy (Raner) Grimshaw. A companion webpage on this line shows that there were four "sublines" of the Yorkshire line, one for each of four grandsons of Edward and Dorothy (Abraham, Jeremiah, Josias, and John). Pheby Grimsahw was among the descendants of the John Grimshaw (married first Grace Ibbotson and second Phoebe Cockshaw) line.

Two other descendants of John and Phoebe (Cockshaw) Grimshaw were sisters Sarah and Ruth Grimshaw. Interestingly, these sisters married two brothers (Benjamin and William Hustler) who were descendants of Jeremiah and Pheby (Grimshaw) Hustler.
